Arggghhhh!!!
I spent the last 2 hours trying to RIT dye my wig for my Jon Snow cosplay. Actually, I should say trying to dye swatches. One swatch was in the dye bath for over an hour with no change. Let it be known that the “Spanish Brown” color doesn’t seem to take RIT dye. (I know Arda says that every color reacts differently, so there ya have it). I don’t want to do Sharpie dyeing since I don’t want to risk it rubbing off on my skin in the hot Atlanta weather. So I’m trying something else.
Since I really wanted a natural black (or very dark brown) and a lace front, I just ordered the Dude instead. I am under the impression that it is less thick than the Matilda, which is what I was trying to dye (since it only comes in very black, which probably won’t look natural with my vampire-like skin tone). I hope the thickness won’t be an issue once I curl it.
Now, I’m off to eagerly wait by the mailbox.
